Playwriting…
Meg got her start as a playwright doing sketch comedy and improv. She has her MFA in playwriting from Columbia University. Recent productions of her work include: Hi! Maintenance (Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati), Sally the Musical (Lenfest Center of the Arts), and Conservation of Matter (Schapiro Theater). Because of her sketch background, Meg approaches topics through a comedic lens, believing strongly that humor often leads us to our greatest truths. During her time pursuing her masters she developed a love for analyzing structure, often writing shows that explore specific archetypes or formats. In 2021, Meg won the Jackie Demaline Regional Collegiate Playwriting Competition for her play Hi! Maintenance.

Miss Lydia Bennet is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Maintaining the original time and place of the novel, it changes the point of view character from Lizzie to the youngest sister, Lydia.

Hi! Maintenance
Hi! Maintenance is a fast-paced comedy that imitates the structure of a classic TV sitcom. Centered around a college friend group 6 years post graduation, their community begins to fracture as their dynamics shift with time. Platonic relationships turn romantic, best friends become third wheels, and the building’s new maintenance man offers a fresh perspective…which just makes everything worse.
